Hisham: COVID-19 cases reach 3,116, death 50

PUCHONG: Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 208 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported today, bringing the total to 3,116.

Hisham said 105 of the COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) at hospitals.

“54 of the coronavirus patients treated at ICU needed respiratory help,” he said in a press conference at Putrajaya today.

Hisham said five COVID-19 patients passed away were reported to the ministry today, bringing the total to 50.

“The number of the coronavirus death reported is 1.6% to the cumulative of the COVID-19 confirmed cases,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said 122 of the COVID-19 patients are fully cured and discharged from hospital today, bringing the total number to 767.
