PUCHONG: Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today said 15 health workers have been infected with COVID-19.
Hisham said 12 of them are from the general hospitals while the other three are from private hospitals.
“One of the general hospital staff is currently receiving treatment at intensive care unit (ICU) ward and need respiratory equipment,” he said in a statement today.
Yesterday Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba announced that the number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has reached 900.
Hisham advises Malaysian to stay at home to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
“The coronavirus knows no boundaries regardless of your race, religion or wealth status even more so if you are a healthcare worker at the frontline of this war.
“Help us by helping yourself,” he said.
