PUCHONG: Health Ministry today revealed 13 deaths due to dengue in first three weeks of this year.
The revelation made in a Facebook posting, the ministry claims four deaths were recorded in the third week of this year.
“Selangor recorded five deaths and 5,734 cases of dengue from Dec 29 to four days ago, highest death cases from dengue.
“Kuala Lumpur/Putrajaya and Melaka each reported two deaths whereas Penang, Johor and Sabah each reported one death from dengue,” the ministry said.

The ministry added the death toll has decrease from the same period recorded last year but the number of cases reported has increase by 3.8%.
“Dengue has been recorded at 204 locations around the country in the third week this year,” the ministry said.
The ministry advises the people to ensure that their surrounding is free from becoming a mosquito breeding ground by taking all the precautionary steps.
