KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been given the green light to forfeit RM4.9 million from Yayasan Permata Malaysia in a 1MDB forfeiture suit.
The order was made by High Court judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah as Yayasan Genius (formerly known as Yayasan Permata Malaysia) after the application was not objected.
Yayasan Permata are among the 41 individuals and organisations named by MACC in its civil forfeiture suit worth RM270 million.
MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya had said the funds orginated from former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal Ambank’s personal account.
