COVID-19: Foreign workers at Pasar Borong go through health check-up

SUNGAI BULOH: Almost 500 foreign workers line up as early as 6am, after officials from various authorities present to do health check-up at Pasar Borong, Kuala Lumpur.

Health Ministry, Civil defence forces Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are some of the authorities involved in the operation.

The officials arrived early in the morning, to make sure the health screening process as well as the information gathering process among the wholesale market workers went smoothly to stem the Covid-19 outbreak.

The workers then instructed to undergo body temperature check ups and throat examinations.

They were also interviewed individually on few matters including the possible involvement in the Tabligh gathering.

A survey of The Leaders Online team at the site, found that the foreign workers were initially shocked and suspected that a raid had taken place due to the presence of the authorities.

However, after being briefed, they were ready to cooperate and obeyed the instructions.

When met by The Leaders Online team, most of them said they were aware of the Covid-19 and the government’s Movement Control Order.

The foreign workers were spotted wearing face masks and aware of personal hygiene including the usage of hand sanitizer.
