IPOH, Jan 17 — An extra of eight minutes will be added to the original time of the Subuh prayer in Perak beginning tomorrow, said State Deputy Mufti Datuk Zamri Hashim.
He said this was consented by the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah who wanted the Subuh prayer time in the state to be based on the calculation using 18 degrees below the horizon as the parameter, instead of 20 degrees previously.
The change in prayer time is only for Subuh, without affecting the time for other obligatory prayers, he said in a statement here today.
He said the public can refer to the Perak Mufti Department’s official website or Facebook page for the latest Subuh prayer time and further information on the time change.
