Cafe Coffee Day coffee baron’s body found

BANGALORE: Authorities today confirmed they have located the body of Indian coffee baron VG Siddhartha from near Netravathi river, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.

Siddhartha, the founder of the Cafe Coffee Day chain, was not reachable since late Monday, his flagship entity Coffee Day Enterprises said in a regulatory filing.

Siddhartha was last seen on Monday night near Mangaluru. In a letter, he apologised for being a failed entrepreneur.[1]

He also revealed that he was disturbed by the way the Income Taxa Department hounded his firm and the pressures that he received from a shareholder to sell his shares.
