Brazil won the Copa America finals by defeating Peru 3-1 as expected since the teams faced off in the group match and Peru was thrashed 5-0.
Everton Soares kickstarted the score for Brazil at the 15th minute from a pass from Gabriel Jesus. Peru’s Paolo Guerrero equalized at the 44th minute with a penalty kick after Thiago Silver handled the ball.
It was the first goal Brazil conceded in six games in this Copa America edition.
Roberto Firmino showed nice skill on the right touchline and he fed Arthur Melo who strode forward and fed Jesus, who coolly slotted the ball past a helpless Pedro Gallese at the 48th minute.

It was rather unfortunate that Jesus was sent off after being slapped with a red card at the 70th minute, but it was due to him exacting revenge on Carlos Zambrano.
With just 10 man on the field for the last 20 minutes, Brazil coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi who is better known as Tite tighten the defenses. He brought in Richarlison as substitute for Firmino.
Richarlison made it 3-1 with a penalty in the final minute of regulation time after Éverton was brought down by Carlos Zambrano. Both penalties were delayed for VAR reviews.
