IPOH: The Perak state government has announced a bonus of RM150,000 to the state football team for advancing to the 2019 FA Cup final match.
While expressing his gratitude and pride for The Bos Gaurus squad, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said the management had been given the mandate to distribute the bonus to everyone involved in the victory.
“If The Bos Gaurus squad can lift the FA Cup, Insya Allah (God willing) there will be more bonus waiting for them later,” he said in a statement in his Facebook.
Earlier, Ahmad Faizal who is also the president of the Perak Football Association (PAFA) received a courtesy call from the players and management of ‘The Bos Gaurus’ at the Menteri Besar’s official residence, here at about 1.15 this morning.
Perak booked a place in the 2019 FA Cup Final with an aggregrate win of 4-3 over Perak after beating the Tok Gajah squad 3-0 in the second leg of the semifinal at Stadium Perak, here tonight.
Ahmad Faizal also expressed his gladness watching the happiness expressed by the fans at the Stadium Perak with loud clapping from the supporters whom he described as the “12th player” of the team.
Meanwhile, Perak coach Mehmed Durakovic in his brief speech described the performance shown by his players at the match as most gratifying.
“If we managed to end the 18-year drought in not winning the Malaysia Cup, this year we want to end the 15-year drought in the FA Cup. Everyone in this team had done their job in the most fantastic manner.
“I am most thankful to everyone of them. All of us are part of the family, we win together, and lose together,”he added.
