KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 — Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) has declared a total income distribution of RM1.01 billion for Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3), benefiting 818,137 unitholders who currently own 20.97 billion units for the financial year ended Sept 30, 2026 (FY2026).
The income distribution of 5.00 sen per unit (4.5 per cent in FY2025) reflects the fund’s resilience in navigating an increasingly uncertain investment environment and its ability to continue delivering sustainable returns to unitholders, the wholly-owned unit trust management company of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) said in a statement today.
ASM 3 also outperformed its benchmark, the Maybank 12-Month fixed deposit rate of 1.99 per cent, by 301 basis points. As of Sept 23, 2026, the fund recorded a net realised income of RM1.23 billion.
ASNB said that for unitholders who have opted for the Zakat Khultah (Class B) payment method, based on the declared 5.00 per cent, this translates into an adjusted net dividend rate of 4.87 per cent. It said the higher fund demonstrated resilient performance amid a challenging global investment landscape marked by interest rate uncertainty, heightened geopolitical tensions, and continued market volatility.
“This was supported by disciplined portfolio management, prudent risk management and selective positioning in areas with strong structural growth potential. This approach enabled the fund to continue generating sustainable returns for unitholders despite evolving market conditions,” it added.
The computation of the income distribution for ASM 3 is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the fund’s financial year. ASM 3 will automatically reinvest the declared distribution as additional units into unitholders’ accounts on Oct 1, 2026.
Transactions for ASM 3 at ASNB branches and agents, including all online channels and internet banking, have been temporarily suspended from Sept 27 to 30, 2026 to facilitate the computation of income distribution.
