KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — With the unity alliance set to form the state government in Negeri Sembilan, Barisan Nasional (BN) deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said that the menteri besar position will be decided by the unity government’s presidential council.
The Umno deputy president, who just won the Rantau seat in Negeri Sembilan, said that he is optimistic about the results and said that they already expected to retain the coalition’s position in the state.
“It depends on the unity government presidential council and seat together to discuss who is suitable to lead Negeri Sembilan,” he told reporters at Umno headquarters here.
Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan caretaker menteri besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said that Pakatan Harapan (PH) has won 17 out 19 seats contested, while BN won 14 out 17 contested.
“Alhamdulillah so far Pakatan Harapan Negeri Sembilan has won 17 out of 19 seats. While Barisan Nasional won 14 out of 17 seats,” he said.
