KUALA LUMPUR: Umno veteran, Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah was quoted by the media as stating that the ongoing feud between the top two PKR leaders – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Azmin Ali can lead to the downfall of Pakatan Harapan government.
“It is possible, but it depends on whether Anwar or Azmin has (enough) support. Based on what we read on the social media there is a split in the party,” added the Umno leader who is also Umno advisory council chairman, reported Malay news website, Utusan Online.
He added that he was unsure whether the ongoing feud would be enough to ensure a change of government in the 15th general election.
Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin meanwhile admitted that the feud was bad for the government and Malaysians.
“We pray that this will end soon. This issue is bad for us, not only for Pakatan but also the government and people of Malaysia,” said Muhyiddin to reporters in parliament lobby yesterday.
