KUALA LUMPUR: Police will call a list of individuals in relation to the statutory declaration (SD) signed by former Special Actions Unit (UTK) officer Azilah Hadri, who alleged that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was involved in [1]the murder of Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu back in 2006.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said they are currently waiting for specific instructions from the Attorney General Chambers.
“Action is being taken. We already have a list of individuals to get statements from,” he said at a press conference in Bukit Aman today.
On Dec 16, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the police still need to authenticate the SD made by Azilah.
In the SD, Azilah claimed that Najib had given him the ‘shoot to kill’ order verbally during a meeting in Pahang on Oct 17, 2006. The latter had claimed that Altantuya was a ‘foreign spy’ threatening national security.
